Carbon Offsets

General public is also welcome and encouraged to register early. **Registration is free, space is limited.** Register Now Overview: Carbon offsets play a keystone role in meeting national and global goals for greenhouse gas emissions reductions. How can carbon offsets play a role toward emission reduction goals? What obstacles do they face and how we can overcome them?
The symposium consists of a series of panels and a roundtable discussion aimed at answering these questions by drawing on the
expertise of professionals within the policy, industry, and certification arenas.
Four panels focus on the following types of carbon offsets in the marketplace:
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), Forestry, Energy Efficiency Certificates (EECs), and Methane Capture.
The panels will shed light on issues regarding methodologies, policies and business planning. The event will culminate with a round
table discussion that will highlight and address pressing challenges regarding policies and investment strategies for the carbon offset
industry in these times of regulatory limbo.
